'Wonderful Daycare', a family owned in-home childcare business, is located in Davis CA. Licensed as a small daycare with no more than six children at a time allows for more individual attention to each child. Children are accepted from age two months to eight years old. Wonderful Daycare specializes in newborn and infant care when space allows.
The provider has over 14 years of experience in child care. In addition to 12 early childhood education units, she receives a yearly state certified training for infant & child CPR. This is in addition to being certified in first aid and preventative health & safety.
Drop your little one off with the confidence that he or she will be shown love and respect with both thoughtfully structured guidance and free play. The day will include, but not be limited to, nature walks, daily park outings, art and crafts, children's yoga and stretching, musical instruments and song, as well as educational games and activities.

Happy Kids
I do diaper care and am willing to assist children in learning to use a potty as parents see fit. The daycare serves as a home away from home for the children. Parents can bring their little ones knowing they will be treated with respect and love. It is hard to leave our children in the care of someone outside our own home and I make every attempt to ease this transition as much as possible. Parents can be confident that every effort is made to follow the instructions or desires they have for their child.

The home I provide is free from harsh chemicals including cleaners and continues to seek out new ways to be "green" for our environment as well as safe for the children.

Daycare Information
Wonderful Daycare is located across the street from Slide Hill Park and incorporates daily park visits in to our schedule as weather permits. Our daily activities include: dramatic play, baby signs, number and letter games/songs, arts and crafts, circle time, musical instrument play, music, singing and movement. Many opportunities for learning and teaching come up in a daycare setting. While there isn't a structured preschool environment within the daycare, we take advantage of those opportunities with each individual child. Parental input and suggestions are welcomed.
I provide Breakfast, lunch and two snacks per day included in the tuition. (Parents can send extra snacks if they like). I provide age appropriate toys and activities for all the children.

The Whole Child
To provide a safe, nurturing and healthy environment for young children to include infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. We believe in addressing every aspect of the "Whole Child" to stimulate the cognitive, social and physical development of young children and to guide them through the various social, emotional, behavioral, physical and intellectual developmental stages by allowing them choices and opportunities.
We value and promote the idea of giving children opportunities to explore through decision-making with child initiated activities and also free-play, but with provider -directed supervision and guidance. We promote a hands-on approach when teaching children in our care.
We value the opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with the children in our care and to establish a provider-parent relationship with the parents of the children in our care by communicating with parents about their child(ren), listening to what parents have to say about their children, and providing parents with useful information regarding upcoming events occurring at our facility for the children and in our community for young children in general.
