The Whole Child/Decision Maker
To provide a safe, nurturing and healthy family style environment for young children to include infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. We believe in addressing every aspect of the whole child to stimulate their cognitive, social and physical development and to guide them through the various social, emotional, behavioral, physical and intellectual developmental stages by allowing them choices and opportunities.
We value and promote the idea of giving children opportunities to explore through decision-making with child initiated activities and also free-play, but with provider -directed supervision and guidance. Whenever possible children are encourged to develop relationships with each other and to practice problem solving in an authentic setting. We promote a hands-on approach when teaching children in our care.
We value the opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with the children in our care and to establish a provider-parent relationship with the parents of the children in our care by communicating with parents about their children, listening to what parents have to say, and providing parents with useful information regarding upcoming events occurring at our facility for the children and in our community for young children in general.
